Gear 911 Specialties was founded on a straightforward principle: the people who put their lives on the line deserve equipment designed with a real understanding of their needs.

Founded in 1992 by Mark Johnson, a firefighter with more than 40 years of experience, and Rita Johnson, whose background includes working as a paramedic and fire dispatcher, Gear 911 grew from a connection to the emergency services profession and an understanding of the challenges its people face.
